Ingredients

2 slices of sourdough bread

1 ripe avocado

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 small garlic clove, minced

1 teaspoon chili flakes

2 tablespoons feta cheese, crumbled

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and black pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (such as cilantro or parsley) for garnish

Optional: poached egg for topping

Instructions

Toast the Sourdough: Start by toasting the sourdough slices in a toaster or on a pan until golden brown and crispy. This will provide a nice crunch to your toast.

Prepare the Avocado Mixture: In a bowl, scoop out the ripe avocado and mash it using a fork. Add the lemon juice, minced garlic, chili flakes, and a pinch of salt and black pepper. Mix well to combine all the flavors.

Spread the Avocado: Once the sourdough is toasted, spread a generous layer of the avocado mixture evenly over each slice.

Add Feta and Olive Oil: Top each slice with crumbled feta cheese. Drizzle olive oil over the top to add richness.

Garnish and Serve: For an extra touch, sprinkle fresh herbs and additional chili flakes on top. If desired, add a poached egg for added protein and decadence.

Final Touch: Serve immediately while the bread is still warm and the toppings are fresh!
