Ingredients

1 lb ground beef or turkey

1 small onion, finely chopped

1 small green bell pepper, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 cup ketchup

2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon mustard powder

Salt and pepper to taste

12 slider buns

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground meat. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.

Stir in the chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for about 5 minutes, until the vegetables are tender.

In a bowl, mix together the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, mustard powder, salt, and pepper. Add this mixture to the skillet, stirring to combine thoroughly.

Reduce heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.

Spoon a generous amount of the sloppy joe mixture onto each bottom half of the buns.

Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top of the meat mixture, then place the top halves of the buns on each slider.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are slightly golden.

Remove from the oven and garnish sliders with chopped parsley before serving.

Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 12 sliders
