Ingredients

1 can of refrigerated crescent rolls

1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese, softened

1 cup of cooked and crumbled sausage (Italian or breakfast sausage works well)

1 can (10 oz) Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, drained

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for extra heat)

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Fresh cilantro or green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, cooked sausage, drained Rotel tomatoes, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, and cayenne pepper. Mix until well combined and creamy.

Unroll the crescent roll dough on a clean surface. Separate the dough into triangles as indicated in the packaging.

On the wider end of each triangle, place a generous tablespoon of the sausage and cream cheese mixture. Sprinkle a little bit of shredded cheddar cheese on top of the filling.

Starting from the wider end, carefully roll up each triangle toward the pointed end, ensuring the filling stays inside.

Place the rolled crescents on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and flaky.

Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Garnish with chopped cilantro or green onions if desired.

Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 30 minutes | Servings: 8 crescents
