Ingredients

1 cup creamy peanut butter

2 cups powdered sugar

1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup chocolate chips (for topping, optional)

Sea salt (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

In a large mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and softened butter. Using an electric mixer, beat these together on medium speed until smooth and well blended.

Gradually add the powdered sugar to the peanut butter mixture, continuing to mix until fully incorporated. The mixture will be thick.

Pour in the milk and vanilla extract. Mix on low speed until everything is combined into a creamy fudge consistency.

Line an 8x8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving some overhang for easy removal. Spread the fudge mixture evenly into the pan, pressing it down with a spatula to ensure it is flat and smooth.

If desired, melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until smooth. Drizzle or spread the melted chocolate over the top of the fudge.

Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top if desired for an extra flavor boost.

Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2 hours or until set. Once set, lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang and cut it into squares.
