Ingredients

1 cup strong brewed green tea (matcha flavored or regular)

2 cups mascarpone cheese

1 cup heavy whipping cream

3/4 cup powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup ladyfinger cookies

2 tablespoons matcha powder (for dusting)

A pinch of salt

Instructions

Start by brewing 1 cup of strong green tea. If using matcha tea, whisk 1-2 tablespoons of matcha powder into hot water. Let it cool completely.

In a large mixing bowl, beat the heavy whipping cream with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually add in the powdered sugar and continue mixing until the cream forms stiff peaks.

In another bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix gently until smooth and creamy.

Carefully fold the whipped cream mixture into the mascarpone until combined. Be gentle to keep it light and airy.

Quickly dip each ladyfinger in the brewed green tea (be careful not to soak them too long to prevent sogginess) and arrange a layer at the bottom of a rectangular or square dish.

Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the layer of ladyfingers, smoothing it out with a spatula.

Repeat the process with another layer of dipped ladyfingers, followed by the remaining mascarpone mixture.

Sift the matcha powder on top of the final mascarpone layer using a fine mesh sieve for an even dusting.

Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld and the tiramisu to set.

                    Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 4 hours + chilling | Servings: 8
