Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 tablespoons olive oil

4 cloves garlic, minced

Zest and juice of 1 large lemon

1 tablespoon fresh tarragon, chopped (or 1 teaspoon dried)

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Salt and pepper to taste

8 ounces linguine or spaghetti

Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine or spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of the pasta water before draining.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter and olive oil together.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, until fragrant but not browned.

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the shrimp. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side, until they turn pink and are cooked through.

Stir in the lemon juice, zest, tarragon, and red pepper flakes (if using). Simmer for an additional minute to allow the flavors to combine.

If the sauce seems too thick, add some of the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Toss the drained linguine or spaghetti into the skillet, mixing well to coat the pasta with the sauce and shrimp.

Allow to cook for an additional minute to ensure everything is heated through.

Remove from heat and serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley and lemon wedges on the side.

                    Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes | Servings: 4

                      - Presentation Tips: Serve in shallow pasta bowls, ensuring shrimp are evenly distributed over the noodles, and drizzle leftover sauce on top. Add a few sprigs of fresh tarragon for a pop of color!
