Ingredients

2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

8 oz (225 g) fettuccine pasta

1/4 cup honey

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 cloves garlic, minced

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)

1 bell pepper (red or yellow), sliced

1 cup snap peas or broccoli florets

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

Cook the Pasta: In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the fettuccine according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the rest and set aside.

Prepare the Chicken: While the pasta cooks, season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.

Sauté the Chicken: In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil. Once heated, add the seasoned chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for a few minutes, then slice it into strips.

Make the Honey Pepper Sauce: In the same skillet, add minced garlic, sliced bell pepper, and snap peas (or broccoli). Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender.

Combine Ingredients: In a small bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes. Add this mixture to the skillet with vegetables, stirring well to coat.

Add Pasta and Chicken: Return the sliced chicken to the skillet, then add the drained fettuccine. If the mixture seems too dry, add reserved pasta water a little at a time until desired consistency is reached. Toss everything together to combine well.

Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Serve hot, garnished with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
