Ingredients

1 fully cooked bone-in ham (8-10 lbs)

1 cup honey

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/4 cup Dijon mustard

1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Whole cloves (for studding the ham)

Fresh rosemary sprigs (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C).

Score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, making sure to cut about 1/4 inch deep. This will help the glaze penetrate and flavor the meat.

Place the ham in a large roasting pan, flat side down. Use toothpicks to secure the ends of the ham if needed.

In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the honey, brown sugar, Dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and black pepper. Stir until the mixture bubbles and the sugar has dissolved completely (about 5-7 minutes).

Pour half of the glaze over the ham, ensuring you coat it evenly all over. Use a brush to help distribute the glaze if necessary.

Insert whole cloves into the intersecting points of the diamond pattern for a flavorful touch.

Cover the ham loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until heated through, basting every 30 minutes with the remaining glaze.

Remove the foil for the last 30 minutes of baking, allowing the glaze to caramelize and create a beautiful crust.

Once the ham has reached an internal temperature of 140°F (60°C), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 15 minutes before slicing.

Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs if desired before serving.
