2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, chilled and cubed

1 cup shredded sharp Parmesan cheese

¾ cup whole milk

3 tablespoons honey

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme)

1 extra tablespoon parmesan for topping

Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions
 

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and black pepper until well combined.

      Using a pastry cutter or your fingers, cut the chilled butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.

        Stir in the shredded Parmesan cheese until evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

          In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, honey, minced garlic, and fresh thyme until well blended.

            Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture and stir gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

              Drop the dough by spoonfuls onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Form them into a rough biscuit shape if desired.

                Sprinkle a little extra Parmesan cheese on top of each biscuit for an added cheesy crunch.

                  Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuits are golden brown on top.

                    Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Optionally, drizzle with a little extra honey before serving.

                      Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve warm.
