Ingredients

1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon red chili flakes (adjust for spice level)

1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Salt and pepper to taste

Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

Begin by patting the shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This will help achieve a nice sear when cooking.

In a large skillet, heat 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat until melted and bubbly.

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes, or until fragrant but not browned.

Increase the heat to high, and add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 2-3 minutes on one side until they turn pink and opaque.

Flip the shrimp and add the remaining butter, lemon zest, chili flakes, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.

Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes until the shrimp are fully cooked and the sauce has thickened slightly.

Once done, remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley for a fresh flavor.

Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary, adding more salt, pepper, or lemon juice as desired.

                  Prep Time: 10 minutes | Total Time: 15 minutes | Servings: 4
