1 cup all-purpose flour

1/2 cup cornstarch

2 large eggs, beaten

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

1 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed if possible)

Zest of 1 orange

1/4 cup honey

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice vinegar

1 tsp grated ginger

2 green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Oil for frying

Instructions
 

In a large bowl, combine flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well.

    Dip each piece of chicken first into the beaten eggs, allowing excess to drip off, and then into the flour mixture. Ensure each piece is well-coated.

      In a large skillet or deep frying pan, heat oil over medium heat (about 350°F/175°C). Fry the chicken in batches for about 5-7 minutes until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

        In a separate saucepan, combine orange juice, orange zest, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and grated ginger. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring frequently. Allow to reduce slightly, about 5-6 minutes until it thickens slightly.

          Carefully add the crispy chicken to the saucepan with the orange sauce, tossing to coat evenly and allowing it to heat through for 2-3 minutes.

            Remove from heat and transfer the chicken to a serving dish. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds.
