Ingredients

1 ½ cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup whole milk

1 tablespoon cinnamon-sugar (for filling)

2 tablespoons cinnamon-sugar (for topping)

Whipped cream for frosting (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 12-cup muffin pan with cupcake liners.

Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together with an electric mixer until creamy and light in color.

Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract until combined.

Incorporate Dry Ingredients and Milk: Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk. Start and end with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined; do not overmix.

Fill Cupcake Liners: Divide the cupcake batter evenly among the lined muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.

Add Cinnamon-Sugar Filling: Using a small spoon or your finger, create a small indentation in the center of each batter-filled liner. Sprinkle about ½ teaspoon of cinnamon-sugar into each indentation.

Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool Down: Remove from the oven and let the cupcakes cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Frost the Cupcakes: Once completely cooled, frost each cupcake generously with whipped cream.

Dust with Cinnamon-Sugar: Finally, sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar mix on top of the whipped cream for an extra sweet touch.

Prep Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 12 cupcakes
