Ingredients

2 cups fresh cherries, pitted

3 large eggs

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/2 tsp almond extract

1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp salt

2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch round baking dish or a cast-iron skillet with butter.

Arrange the pitted cherries evenly in the bottom of the prepared dish. Set aside.

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and frothy.

Add the milk, vanilla extract, almond extract, melted butter, and salt to the egg mixture. Whisk until well combined.

Gradually sift in the flour while continuously whisking until the batter is smooth and lump-free.

Pour the batter evenly over the cherries in the baking dish.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 35-40 minutes, or until the clafoutis is puffed and lightly golden on top.

Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing.

Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
