Ingredients

2 cups fresh cherries, pitted and halved

4 cups water

1/4 cup sugar (adjust based on sweetness preference)

2 tablespoons fresh lime juice

Mint leaves for garnish

Ice cubes

Instructions

In a blender, combine the pitted and halved cherries with 2 cups of water. Blend on high until smooth.

Strain the cherry mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher, using a spatula to help push the liquid through and separate out the pulp and skins.

Add the remaining 2 cups of water, sugar, and fresh lime juice to the cherry juice in the pitcher. Stir well until the sugar is fully dissolved.

Taste the agua fresca and adjust the sweetness, adding more sugar if needed.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to blend the flavors.

Serve over ice in glasses, garnishing each with a mint leaf for added freshness.
