Ingredients

200g raw shrimp, peeled and deveined

250g ground beef

1 small onion, finely chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped

1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes

1 tablespoon tomato paste

1 tablespoon smoked paprika

1 teaspoon dried oregano

1 tablespoon olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh parsley for garnish

Zest of 1 lemon

Instructions

In a food processor, combine the raw shrimp, ground beef, half of the chopped onion, and one minced garlic clove. Season with salt and pepper, then blend until well mixed but still slightly chunky for texture.

Form the shrimp and beef mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the remaining onion and garlic, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the red bell pepper and continue to cook for an additional 2 minutes.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, smoked paprika, dried oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

Gently add the meatballs to the tomato sauce, ensuring they are submerged. Cover the skillet, reduce heat to low, and let them cook for 15-20 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Before serving, stir in the lemon zest for a fresh burst of flavor. Adjust seasoning if needed.

                Prep Time: 15 minutes | Total Time: 40 minutes | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the meatballs in shallow bowls, ladling sauce generously over the top. Garnish with fresh parsley and a sprinkle of lemon zest for an extra pop of color. Serve with crusty bread or over garlic rice for a complete meal!
