Ingredients

8 oz (225 g) fusilli pasta

1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

1 cup fresh mozzarella balls, halved or quartered

1/2 cup fresh basil leaves, torn

1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

2 tablespoons balsamic glaze

1 clove garlic, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

Begin by cooking the fusilli pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process. Allow it to cool completely.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cool pasta, halved cherry tomatoes, and mozzarella balls.

Add the torn basil leaves to the bowl.

In a separate small bowl, whisk together the extra virgin olive oil, balsamic glaze, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) until well combined.

Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and gently toss to ensure everything is evenly coated.

Allow the salad to sit for at least 15 minutes at room temperature to let the flavors meld. For a more intense flavor, refrigerate for up to 1 hour.

Give the salad a gentle toss before serving, and adjust seasoning if needed.

                Prep Time: 15 min | Total Time: 30 min | Servings: 4

                  - Presentation Tips: Serve the pasta salad in a large bowl garnished with additional torn basil leaves and a drizzle of balsamic glaze for a pop of color.
