Ingredients

1 ½ cups digestive biscuits, crushed

½ cup unsalted butter, melted

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

3 medium ripe bananas, sliced

1 cup heavy whipping cream

2 tablespoons powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Shaved dark chocolate for garnish

A pinch of sea salt

Instructions

In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed digestive biscuits and melted butter. Stir until the mixture resembles wet sand.

Press the biscuit mixture firmly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch pie dish to form a crust. Ensure it's compact and even.

Bake the crust in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes. Let it cool completely.

While the crust is cooling, prepare the caramel filling by placing the can of sweetened condensed milk in a pot of water. Bring to a boil and let it simmer for 2 hours, ensuring the can remains submerged. Allow the can to cool before opening it. (Alternatively, you may use pre-made caramel sauce.)

Once the crust and caramel are ready, spread the caramel evenly across the crust.

Layer the sliced bananas over the caramel filling. Arrange them evenly for a beautiful presentation.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.

Gently spread the whipped cream over the bananas, covering them entirely.

Finish by garnishing with shaved dark chocolate and a pinch of sea salt for an extra touch of flavor.

Chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
