4 chicken thighs, boneless and skinless

1/4 cup honey

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

2 tablespoons sesame oil

1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (optional for thickening)

Sliced green onions for garnish

Sesame seeds for garnish

Steamed rice for serving

Prep the Chicken: Pat the chicken thighs dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.

    Create the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, and grated ginger until smooth.

      Cook the Chicken: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add a bit of oil if necessary. Once hot, add the chicken thighs and cook for 5-6 minutes per side, or until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 75°C).

        Add the Sauce: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken to enhance the flavor.

          Optional Thickening: If you prefer a thicker sauce, dissolve the cornstarch in water and stir it into the sauce in the pan. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

            Serve It Up: Remove the chicken from the skillet and slice it if desired. Drizzle the remaining honey garlic sauce over the chicken.

              Garnish and Plate: Serve the honey garlic chicken over steamed rice. Garnish with sliced green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds for an added crunch and visual appeal.
